On December 3, 2009, 50 women came together to attend the Holiday Dress Swap for a Cause hosted by Bellissima Salon and presented by MyStyleMaven and Platinum Event House.
Women in attendance brought two or more dresses in hopes to find one new one that they would take home. Guests received a raffle ticket for each dress that was brought in for a chance to win one of our prizes that were donated. One of the prizes was a styled photo session by me Lesley Bryce photography and MyStyleMaven. While guests were arriving there were snacks to eat and wine to sip. Changing areas were provided so dresses could be tried on to make sure the fit was perfect. Since some guests brought more than two dresses, there were plenty to choose from, there were so many left over that we were able to donate 100 dresses to the Coalition for Domestic Violence which is one of my favorite local charities. Overall, it was a fun evening of socializing, shopping and all for a good cause.

So finally I get to share the session I did with the winner who won a session with me and was styled by Kim of MyStyleMaven. I was so excited for this shoot. MyStyleMaven did an Amazing job of styling this shoot with the upcoming style for this spring. Even though we had rain during our shoot we had the best time dancing with the rain to get the perfect shot. It was such a pleasure to work with Kim at MyStyleMaven and create an amazing shoot for charity. I can’t wait to work with Kim again…she made my job really easy.

Highly Anticipated Book Cover for Teen Vampire Thriller “Soulstice: Luna’s Dream” Revealed

Feb 26, 2010 – Los Angeles, California, — “Beauty is the Beast”, the book cover for the

highly anticipated teen vampire thriller, “Soulstice: Luna’s Dream” was revealed to eNassau Coliseum in

New York last weekend. The stunning cover was executed brilliantly by the talented eye of photographer

Lesley Bryce.

When Lesley was singed on to create the cover for “Soulstice: Luna’s Dream” book. Miss Bryce

wanted to create imagery that not only reflected the main character and writers vision’s, but something that

was out-side-of-the-box from the typical vampire cliche (dark, brooding, scary). Lesley wanted to

juxtapose the fact that the character Luna is the first vampire to believe in God. She has flawlessly done so,

by using the ethereal white to symbolize Luna’s faith set against her black fury of a mane which is the very

symbol of her vampire being.

“Soulstice: Luna’s Dream” chronicles the saga of 15-year old vampire Luna Tremaine, set in the sleepy

coastal town of Crescent City, CA. Yet the similarity to other vampire stories ends there. The story

follows Luna as she enters into puberty, peer pressure, bullying, faith, the thrill of a first love, sibling

rivalry, and other real-life issues a teenager (vampire or human) has to face everyday. “Put Bella Swan and

Laura Croft together at 15, that would be Luna” says Lance Dow, co-author & screenwriter of the film.

Filming for the movie begins this summer. “Soulstice: Luna’s Dream”, the first book in the saga will be

released April 1st, 2010. Three more books, “BITTERSWEET REQUIEM”, “ASCENSION”, and “AT

DREAM’S END” are set to follow.

Fred Segal was full of Ooh! La, La! Couture this Valentines day! Ooh! La, La! Couture is proud to present their new exclusive Emily Grace Collection, that was launched at Fred Segal on Feb. 14, 2010. Inspired by 8-year old actress Emily Grace Reaves (best known for her role as “Cindy Lou” in Hannah Montana: The Movie). The collection’s trendy, sweet, yet edgy feel, is reminiscent of Emily’s true personality. She is collaborating with Ooh! La, La! Couture designers to create versatile styles that can be worn with sweet ballerina slippers, funky sneakers or paired with lace stockings and boots for more of a rock and roll look.

This event was a smash and it was so great to see all the young celebs out supporting each other! Special thanks to Terri at T2pr

March 1, 2010 - 6:14 pm Abby - OMG!!!!! I love your work!!! I found your add in the POP STAR! mag. You truly have a great talent... and it shows! And is the girl w/ curly hair your daughter??? Well, she is a good model. And I love every picture that you take. NEVER QUIT. I am also a photographer, and I need to learn to not delete every pic... because, I may not like it... but they might. So I need to LEARN!!!!! Oh well, well you inspire me... And you are great!!!!

Allisyn Arm_Celebrity Photographer_Lesley Bryce Photography

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing a young and very talented actress Allisyn Arm. Currently she plays the character of Zora Lancaster on the Disney Show “Sonny with a Chance”, her character is wacky and fun. The show can be seen on Sundays 8/7 c on the Disney Channel. In real life Miss Allisyn was easy-pezzy to work with, such a natural and not to mention a blast. We had a little trouble with the first location of our shoot, but the little hiccup with the ranger didn’t spoil our fun day of shooting. At our second location Allisyn shined when wearing Three Peas Co. who came out to personally style Miss Arm. Our second location was full of yummy light and beautiful surroundings…got to love southern California. Here are a few from our time together!! (Special thanks to Terri of T2pr)

Rockstar Maternity_Southern California Photographer_Lesley Bryce

Oh my!!! I know it’s been some time since I posted anything…so busy getting things ready for 2010. It’s great to be kicking of this year’s blog post with a rocking maternity session styled by the truly talented designer of Three Peas Co.

With Three Peas Co.’s help and my client’s open mind to visual art, I was able to take Lifestyle Maternity to a whole new level!!! I just can’t wait till the little one arrives…cause I know this mommy-to-be understands that we are not just taking pictures but creating forever ART. Thanks again everyone.

Keana Texeira_USS Midway Editorials_Lesley Bryce

Well, I am getting an early jump on next years posts!! I had the pleasure of being invited by T2PR to shoot an editorial spread on Keana Texeira during her charity event for The Jumpitz “Operation Jump for Joy” down in San Diego. This proved to be an awesome day and I had incredible backstage access to an amazing number of spots on the battleship USS Midway. Keana was also joined by the fabulous boy band WOW (they were just recently featured with Keana in Totally Texty’s advertisements in Pop Star Magazine, and shot by yours truly). Here are a few images I would like to share from our editorial session together. I must also add Keana was styled by the lovely Miss Antoinette, founder and designer of Three Peas Co. Next post I will also be sharing some press photos of Keana, WOW and other guests taken during this photo filled day.

January 24, 2010 - 3:15 pm David Mark Pesce - Very nice stuff I especially like the images with the ladders & hatches. On a side note though, technically the USS Midway is an Aircraft Carrier as opposed to a Battleship. :-)

I want to wish everyone a very merry holiday!!! Since this will be my last post for the year and what an amazing year it has been, I am so looking forward to the new year to come with all it’s suprising and exciting new ventures that it will bring!!
